Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.

AM, or Additive Manufacturing, is a rapidly growing manufacturing technology that, in combination with steel powder, enables the creation of products with unique shapes. At SSAB, we have been developing these products since 2020 and now that the production rate is increasing, we are looking for an operations technician who will have a unique opportunity to be responsible for the operation of the existing plant and lay the foundation for future investments.

You will get to shape working methods and processes together with a team that is at the forefront of development and innovation. We are a small team working within AMC, where there are operators during the day and with the increase in production there will be operators on shifts. You will be working with the latest technology in additive manufacturing and will have a key role in a future-oriented project.

  • Maintain daily communication between operating staff and technical operator regarding process development.
  • Ensure that the operating staff performs the work according to current instructions.
  • To participate in AMC's process issues.
  • Continuously inform about the company's / unit's / department's activities, goals and key figures and how they affect their own activities.

About you

  • To succeed in the role, we believe that you have experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry, operations, maintenance or production technology.
  • As a person, you are solution-oriented, curious and like to take responsibility.
  • You thrive in an environment where innovation and improvement are in focus.
  • We are a small but dedicated team that works closely together within AMC. For us, the personal contact between people is crucial so getting the right person is something we value highly.
