As a process engineer, you will be part of the Process Support section at the coking plant in Luleå. You will be responsible for ensuring that the right amount and type of coal is available at the right time, as well as for developing and communicating a cost-effective coal mix that is beneficial to the process.

In this role, you will work with both long-term and day-to-day planning. This involves, among other things, planning coal requirements, qualities, and deliveries; monitoring inventory and consumption; and coordinating matters with production, purchasing, suppliers, and other internal and external partners.

You will also be responsible for monitoring the quality of produced coke against customer requirements and will contribute your expertise on issues related to coal and coke inventories. The role encompasses analysis and planning as well as problem-solving in close collaboration with operations. You will also lead and participate in projects and assist in the evaluation and testing of new coal grades.

Your main responsibilities

• Plan coal requirements, quantities, qualities, and deliveries to ensure adequate supply over time.
• Develop and communicate cost-effective coal blends based on production conditions.
• Monitor the quality of produced coke against customer requirements and track current inventory levels.
• Coordinate matters related to deliveries, shipping, coal inventory, and other material flows.
• Evaluate new coal grades and participate in the planning and execution of tests.
• Lead and participate in projects related to coal and coke.

About You

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English.
• Class B driver’s license.
• Experience working in logistics or quality assurance is a plus.
• You are communicative and comfortable interacting with various partners.
• You are humble, not afraid to ask questions, and contribute to a positive working environment.
• You work in a structured manner and have the ability to create order and plan ahead.
