About the position

You will have an exciting role where you will drive the work of creating and establishing the structure for even more efficient production. The position offers the opportunity for versatile and developing tasks in a changing production environment where innovation and continuous improvements are in focus.

As an engineer in the Process Development Metallurgy department, you are part of a staff team consisting of 15 knowledgeable and inspiring colleagues.

Your main responsibilities

  • Be a driving force in improving the steel mill's manufacturing processes with a focus on improved quality, yield, productivity and reliability.
  • Develop data-driven and experimental methods to support the development work.
  • Initiate the introduction of new technologies.
  • Participate in internal and external research and development projects.
  • Train operational staff.


About you

  • You are interested in combining theory with practical application.
  • You are a self-driven and unpretentious team player who is driven by solving problems.
  • If you have experience from steel manufacturing, this is meritorious.
  • You master Swedish and English and are easy to express yourself in both speech and writing.
  • Since your work involves collaboration with many different roles within the company, great emphasis is placed on your personal and social qualities.
  • You are a civil engineer or have other relevant academic education.
