About the position

Plant Engineering currently consists of about 25 people divided into two sections Electricity & Automation and Mechanical Engineering. We are now looking for two project managers for these sections. As a project manager at Plant Engineering, you work with projects in our facilities throughout the production flow. The role includes project management for new and existing process plants. You are responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered to the required scope, on time and within budget. Projects are carried out in close collaboration with the business and clients, including feasibility studies, pre-engineering, project implementation, commissioning and documentation. You will be part of a team of competent project managers and engineers in machine, media, electricity & automation and building technology. You work in close collaboration with other activities such as production, maintenance, purchasing, work environment and environment, etc.

One role has a broad focus on plant / mechanical engineering while the other role has a clearer focus on electricity and automation where experience of electric power and high voltage is meritorious. In your application, please specify which of the roles is of greatest interest to you.

Your main responsibilities

  • Drive feasibility studies and investigations on future investments
  • Project manage multidisciplinary projects according to SSAB project routines
  • Drive and be responsible for delivering projects according to the desired scope within allocated times and cost frames

About you

  • You care about your own and others' safety and work environment

  • You have experience in project management in industry
  • You are structured and responsive, one of your driving forces is to build relationships and trust

Advantageous

  • Experience in planning and implementing complex repairs or assembly work on machinery
  • Experience as a GIS engineer and/or ground projects
  • Experience with systems and tools such as MS Project, IFS/SAP, CAD tools, SiteBase
  • Experience in electrical power and/or automation
  • Experience in high voltage installations
  • Authorization for electrical work
