
SSAB in Borlänge is seeking a Railway Network Manager for the Rail, Road, and Planning Division for a fixed-term position of approximately two years. This role is central to ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant railway infrastructure within one of Sweden’s most important industrial systems.
Here, you’ll work in an environment where the railroad is critical to both business and production, and where your decisions directly impact production, safety, and logistics flows.
About the Role
The person we are seeking will be responsible for SSAB’s internal rail network in Borlänge. The role involves overall responsibility for the facility’s operation, safety, and regulatory compliance, including ensuring compliance with the requirements set forth in the National Infrastructure Permit by managing and developing the safety management system.
You will also serve as the representative for the railway facility to the management team, which is the legal infrastructure manager.
You will play a key role in coordinating strategic and operational track maintenance. You will have budgetary responsibility for operations, maintenance, external contractors, and consultants.
To succeed in this role, you must be based at SSAB in Borlänge, and the position will include some on-call duty for incidents and near-misses.
