About the position

The workshop is part of the central workshop and is responsible for renovation work on production equipment and spare parts, large and small.

With day-to-day mechanics, the filar workshop delivers a high level of service and quality mechanic services to the business.

As a section manager, you will lead a group of 25 people. Our way of working is group-organized, which means that the daily activities are planned and managed by the employees together with you. Together with your team, as a first-line manager, you are expected to actively drive improvements from a holistic perspective within the section and workshop workflows. A good cooperation with the other activities within the central workshop and within SSAB is a prerequisite for the success of the assignment.

You will be part of the management team for Central Maintenance.

  • Management and development of your team.
  • Work environment and safety.
  • Target setting, follow-up, strategy, budget and investments.

About you

  • You have an upper secondary school diploma with a technical focus, preferably mechanical engineering. If you have a degree from a university with a technical focus, it is an advantage.
  • You have several years of experience as a manager or in a leading position, preferably with personnel responsibility.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement for the position.
  • You have a B driving license
  • If you have managerial / leadership training, we see it as an advantage.
  • Experience from the engineering industry and / or industrial mechanics is an advantage.
  • You have good communication skills and easy to collaborate with others.
  • You have good problem-solving skills
  • You are driven and can handle stress
