Er du den rette?

Would you like to lead a skilled and dedicated team responsible for both manufacturing and repairing spare parts for our production lines in Borlänge? Do you see the strength in differences, diversity, and the equal value of all people? To succeed in this role, you must be present and a coach in your leadership style, as well as structured, responsive, and driven by developing people and work methods. Location: Borlänge.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet’s future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities, and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. That must change. We have therefore developed the world’s first fossil-free process for steel production and have committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play a key role in realizing this goal and thereby contributing to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

We are now looking for three section managers within the Central Maintenance department for our Sheet Metal Shop, Machine Shop, and Gantry sections.

Our workshops are responsible for the refurbishment of production equipment and spare parts, both large and small. With day and shift staff, our workshops deliver a high level of service and quality manufacturing and refurbishment services to the business. As Section Manager for the Sheet Metal Workshop, you will also be responsible for welding within on-site maintenance.

Our overhead crane group is responsible for the maintenance of all overhead cranes, hoists, lifting clamps, and radio equipment throughout the entire plant area. With high demands on availability from the business, the overhead crane group provides both preventive and corrective maintenance with a focus on safety, quality, and delivery.

As a section manager, you will lead your work team. Our approach is team-based, which means that daily operations are planned and managed by the employees together with you. Together with your team, you are expected, as a first-line manager, to actively drive improvements from a holistic perspective within the section’s and the workshop’s workflows. Good cooperation with other operations within the Central Workshop and within SSAB is essential for success in this role. You will be part of the management team for Central Maintenance.
