Are you the one?

Are you passionate about industrial automation, production optimization and advanced control systems in a state-of-the-art greenfield project with the larger purpose of producing steel completely fossil-free? We are now looking for several system developers, both junior and senior, who want to join our project team and play a key role in Luleå's new mini mill project through all project phases and after commissioning work with production development and system maintenance. Location Luleå.

As a system developer, you act as a technical expert in close collaboration with process, automation and IT/OT stakeholders. You will support the project from early design to commissioning and acceptance testing, ensuring a robust and complete system delivery.

The role includes collaboration with leading OEM suppliers and technology partners and you will have opportunities for professional development in advanced automation and digitalization.

Travel is included as part of international project work.

About you

You have knowledge and practical experience in some or more of the following areas.

  • IT/OT systems, especially Automation Level 2 systems that optimize production processes.
  • Integration with Level 3 systems (MES/MOM) and Level 1 systems (PLC-based automation).
  • Production processes and OT/IT for: steel mills, hot rolling mills, cold rolling mills, mathematical models, set-up calculations or algorithms and application logic.
  • System integration technologies such as IBM MQ and OPC UA.
  • Data management technologies.

You have

  • Good knowledge of both Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
  • Good collaboration skills and a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to develop and learn new things.
  • If you have a bachelor's or master's degree in IT / OT, this is meritorious.

Your main responsibilities

  • Act as an expert in automation level 2 systems through all project phases.
  • Support design work in close dialog with production automation and equipment suppliers to ensure technical compliance.
  • Participate in system build, including model development and system integrations.
  • Contribute to test planning and test execution as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide on-site commissioning support.
  • Conduct acceptance testing together with customers and partners.
  • After commissioning, work as a system developer.
