Do you want a responsible and challenging job where you can help shape the future of maintenance work? Koksverket is now looking for a technician/planner with a focus on mechanical maintenance. In this role, you will help ensure the unit's operational stability and develop the preventive maintenance required to keep the plant in the best possible condition - with a focus on quality, safety and cost efficiency. Location Luleå.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
As a technician/planner with us, you will be an important part of the Mechanical Maintenance department at the coking plant, where you play a central role in creating the conditions required for stable and efficient operation. In the role, you follow the status and function of the plant, prioritize and plan interventions and ensure that both preventive and emergency measures are handled in a structured and long-term manner.
You work closely with mechanics, area operators and other maintenance organizations, and act as a technical support in the daily operations.
The work also involves participating in technical and improvement-oriented projects where you contribute your expertise to develop both working methods and plant performance. You will be part of a dedicated team consisting of mechanics, condition inspectors and lubricators - where cooperation, safety and development are in focus.
The working hours are daytime.
