Are you the one?

The world needs fossil-free steel - and we need you! Do you want to be part of an exciting journey towards fossil-free steel production? Are you curious, like working in a team and want to develop through new experiences? Then we have the vacation job for you! With us, you get the chance to take on challenging and varied tasks - while we give you the training and support you need to succeed.

We are looking for hundreds of holiday temps for 2026. The temporary positions can vary in length and the first ones are filled already in April. We offer opportunities mostly in production but also in our internal transportation department. Become part of our community and join us on the road to fossil-free steel production. Interviews and recruitment are ongoing, so do not wait to send in your application! Location Borlänge.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a holiday replacement with us, you will be an important part of a team where job satisfaction, cooperation and safety are always in focus. Together we are responsible for delivering world-class steel.

We are mainly looking for process operators for our production departments, but we are also looking for those who want to work with internal transport, material testing or warehouse work. Regardless of the role, you will receive a solid introduction and training so that you feel confident and can do a really good job.

The majority of the positions involve shift work, but there are also roles where you work during the day.

With us, you get the chance to develop and broaden your knowledge in exciting areas, as well as the opportunity to be involved and make a difference in our transition to fossil-free steel production in an inclusive workplace where we value community and commitment.
