Would you like to help ensure the smooth operation of one of Sweden’s most advanced industrial environments? We are currently seeking a preparatory industrial technician specializing in mechanics for SSAB in Oxelösund. In this role, you’ll work on planning and developing mechanical maintenance for the facilities within the Rolling Mill, Sheet Metal Production Unit. You’ll play a key role in our efforts to create safe, reliable, and efficient production. As a technical support specialist, you’ll work closely with both day-shift mechanics and our shift-based emergency response team. Here, you’ll have a varied role where safety, the environment, and quality are always the top priorities.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means embarking on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet’s future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future—in our homes, in the bridges that connect our cities, and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we’re proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we’re aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. That has to change. We have therefore developed the world’s first fossil-free steel production process and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play a key role in achieving this goal and thereby contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.

The team also includes ten maintenance generalists (seven in mechanical and three in electrical), as well as six mechanics and three electricians.
