SSAB - Transportation Planner - Supply Chain
Oxelösund, Sverige
Type of Employment Full-time
Job position Transport planner
Work model On location
Application due date 24 April 2026
Are you the one?

Would you like to be involved in developing the transportation planning of the future?

The Transportation Planning department is responsible for planning, booking and following up all transports from our production unit in Oxelösund to customers all over the world. We work with several different modes of transport and handle flows of varying complexity depending on the market.

Now we are looking for a committed transport planner who wants to become part of our team and contribute to developing our working methods and system support. Location Oxelösund.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a transport planner, you will play a central role in ensuring that our deliveries reach customers in an efficient, quality-assured and cost-conscious manner.

You will be part of a team of eight colleagues, all located in Oxelösund, where collaboration and shared responsibility are a natural part of everyday life.

We currently work in a proprietary transport planning system, but the intention is to switch to a more advanced and modern system in the coming years. The role therefore involves both operational responsibility and the opportunity to be involved in the development journey.

Your main responsibilities

  • Ongoing management and follow-up of deviations.
  • Daily contact with our logistics suppliers.
  • Preparation of statistics, analyses and plans linked to our deliveries.
  • Support and answers to questions about specific transports.

About you

We are looking for you who are driven, enterprising and enjoy working in a team. You have a holistic perspective and a strong customer focus, while being careful and structured in your way of working.

We believe that you have

  • Education in logistics or equivalent (meritorious).
  • Experience in transport planning or freight forwarding.
  • Ability to deliver good service and put the customer at the center.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Confidence in presenting and communicating information.
  • Good system skills and easy to familiarize yourself with new digital tools.

Our offer

At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We apply our values - driven, genuine and ahead of the curve - in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus. This makes us all team players, with a common drive to improve. When you join SSAB, you will be part of an organization of passionate problem solvers working together on important challenges. We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that is conducive to work-life balance. At SSAB, you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and grow.
