About the position

As a water and wastewater engineer in our Central Maintenance department, you will be responsible for SSAB's extensive industrial water network, stormwater network and sewage system. This means that you have both plant and budget responsibility for a system that includes pumping stations, pipelines, sedimentation basins and treatment plants.

You work to plan and follow up operations and maintenance, develop working methods and methods and drive improvements to increase operational reliability. You have a central role in collaboration with other functions within the business and lead projects linked to maintenance, investments and development.

Since safety is a priority within SSAB, you are also a key person in developing safety work within your area of responsibility.

Your main responsibilities

  • Establish and follow up short and long-term maintenance and investment plans.
  • Responsible for budget related to operations and maintenance.
  • Develop approaches for preventive, corrective and corrective maintenance.
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance and investment projects.
  • Interact with internal functions for effective communication and planning.
  • Contribute to the development of safety work in the water and wastewater area.


About you

  • You have a university degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • You have experience of working with water and wastewater systems, maintenance or production.
  • You are technically knowledgeable and interested in processes and plant development.
  • You are confident, clear and structured in your work.
  • You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in close dialog with others.
  • You have experience of leading projects or change management.
  • You are fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English.
  • A B driving license is a requirement
