As a work environment engineer in the Work Environment section, you will be an expert resource that supports the business in the work of preventing ill health and accidents as well as promoting health in individuals, groups and organizations. Through competent advice, you contribute to ensuring that the business meets legal requirements in the work environment area and that risk prevention methods and tools are introduced. You will have authority and external contacts and may also act as an internal auditor.

It is a varied job where you will have many contact points around our exciting business. Your immediate employee group includes other work environment engineers, chemical engineers, business developers, audit coordinators as well as project managers and mentors in SSAB's Safety Program.

Your main areas of responsibility

  • Be expert support in the work environment area and current work environment legislation
  • Contribute to SSAB working actively, systematically and improvement-oriented in the work environment area
  • Support the organization in carrying out investigations, controls, risk assessments and mapping
  • Produce information materials, governing and supporting documents and develop and implement training courses.
  • Be the contact person for authorities, mainly the Swedish Work Environment Agency.

About you

  • We would like for you to have a university education with a focus on the work environment or other equivalent education, alternatively well-documented work experience that has provided the corresponding competence.
  • You have a few years of professional experience in the relevant field.
  • You collaborate well with others but can also pursue issues independently.
  • You are proactive and thrive on many contact points and parallel assignments.
  • You are trustworthy, educational and solution-oriented.
  • You have a good ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a simple and accessible way to different target groups. Communication takes place in both Swedish and English.
