You will be a key player in translating these goals into concrete improvements in the business. As part of our specialist function, you will work to analyze and manage complex work environment challenges. Working closely with the business, you will provide advice and support in identifying risks, proposing measures and creating action plans to improve the working environment. Your work together with the business is crucial to ensure a safe and sustainable workplace for all our employees. As a work environment engineer with us, you have a broad and important role where you support managers and employees in creating a safe and healthy workplace. You work both operationally and strategically to develop the safety culture, follow up on work environment goals and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
The role also includes collaboration with contractors, external parties and authorities to ensure that SSAB complies with applicable legislation and internal guidelines.
About you
We are looking for you who have a few years of experience working as a work environment engineer, work environment specialist or in a similar role. You have an academic education in the field of occupational health and safety or another relevant education and experience that is considered equivalent.
