Are you the one?

Do you want to help shape the health and care services of the future in Stange municipality? We are now looking for a new advisor for the municipal area Health and coping.

Stange municipality is a growing inland municipality. Health and coping is the municipality's largest service area and includes health and care services for residents at all stages of life.

The municipality is in continuous development and change. In order to successfully coordinate efforts across activities, strengthen the strategic direction and realize the benefits of the projects we initiate, this function will be central.

As an advisor, you will work closely with the head of the municipality and have a role in supporting collaboration and holistic thinking across the businesses. The position involves contributing to a common understanding of goals and priorities, and ensuring that development initiatives are seen in context.

The position is suitable for those who enjoy working at the intersection of strategy and practice, and who through dialogue, analysis and facilitation can contribute to common direction and progress.

Work tasks

  • Contribute to the planning, implementation and follow-up of projects in the municipal area, in collaboration with business managers and/or municipal managers as project owners
  • Support and facilitate organizational development across the businesses in health and coping
  • Coordinate and structure development initiatives, so that the efforts become more holistic and less fragmented
  • Collect, process and present relevant information as decision support for the municipal manager and management team
  • Contribute with analyses and reflections related to the long-term development of health and coping, with a time perspective of 5-10 years
  • Facilitate collaboration in complex and demanding processes, and contribute to an understanding of the value of resource sharing and collaboration across businesses

As a staff advisor, you are also expected to contribute in other areas such as case preparation, investigations, professional support for management and organization, as well as participation in various professional councils and networks.

Qualifications

  • Relevant higher education at bachelor's or master's level (e.g. social science, political science, sociology, organization and management, change management or equivalent)
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Documented experience in project management
  • Experience from the public sector or large, complex private organization

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Formal expertise in project management and/or change management
  • Experience with benefit realization and evaluation of project effects
  • Knowledge of or experience with service design
  • Understanding of the use of data and AI as a basis for prioritization and decision-making
  • Experience from the municipal sector or the health and care sector

Personal qualities

  • You have friction skills - the ability to stop, listen curiously and seek understanding before acting
  • You think holistically and see connections across businesses and disciplines
  • You are structured and able to deliver, without necessarily being detail-oriented
  • You are exploratory and challenge the "why", not just the "how"
  • You are robust and confident, and able to stand in demanding situations with clear feedback

We offer

  • Close collaboration with the municipal manager, business managers and other advisors in a complex and meaningful professional environment
  • The opportunity to shape the position and make your mark on how health and coping develops over the next 5-10 years
  • Good pension and insurance schemes
  • Salary by agreement
  • A working environment characterized by the values of openness, security and diversity
