Who am I and what does the job involve?
I am a man in his early 50s who is now looking for a permanent assistant and on-call temps for my BPA scheme!

I am a nice and sociable man, I need assistance due to the fact that I have had a stroke and have disabilities. I am looking for personal assistants who are flexible, reliable and motivated for the job. It is important to me that you are cheerful, positive and trustworthy. I enjoy hunting, outdoor activities and shooting, I am also interested in hockey.


Brief about user-controlled personal assistance (BPA):
BPA is an alternative way of organizing practical and personal assistance services for people with disabilities and a great need for assistance in daily life, both inside and outside the home. The aim is to help people with assistance needs to lead an active and as independent life as possible despite their disability. BPA means that the user (or a close relative) has the role of work manager and assumes responsibility for organization and content based on their own needs.

Hours of work:
Weekdays (Monday to Friday) 09:00 - 15:00. With the proviso that there may be small adjustments to working hours during the day.

Please specify in your application whether you are applying as a temporary employee or permanent employee 80% position.

Tasks

• Personal assistance (personal hygiene and toilet visits).
• Practical assistance (cooking, housework, shopping, etc.)
• Transfer using assistive devices
• Assistance with training and exercises
• Adaptation inside and outside the home
• Follow-up and cooperation/guidance from physiotherapist and occupational therapist.
• Follow up on social activities and other appointments.

Qualifications

• No competence requirements. Relevant experience is seen as positive
• Good Norwegian written and oral presentation skills
• Driver's license class B
• A valid police certificate must be presented before starting

• You are independent, patient and reliable.
• You are responsible and can offer security and stability for the user.
• Personal suitability and chemistry with the user will be emphasized.
