Stange Municipality is looking for a Nature and Environmental Protection Advisor for holistic community development and management!
Stange Municipality, Norway's Green Lung, is currently working on the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals with the main pillars: innovation, climate and environment as well as urban and urban development. As the municipality's response to the green shift, and with a political desire to prioritize this in the future, we are therefore looking for a nature and environmental protection advisor. The position is located in the business for planning, building and surveying, which consists of 20 competent employees, who are committed to a good interdisciplinary environment in both management and development work.
Tasks
- Completion and implementation of the environmental plan (municipal master plan).
- Case processing under relevant environmental legislation such as the Pollution Control Act, the Dog Act, the Motorized Vehicles Act, the Water Resources Act and the Nature Diversity Act.
- Participation/management of networks and planning/development projects, as well as effectively preparing applications for funding of relevant measures.
- Preparing applications for environmental funding.
- Advising internally and externally on plans and measures.
- Preparing cases for political consideration.
- Assisting in the preparation of climate budgets, climate accounts and other climate measures.
- Public contact.
Qualifications
- Relevant higher education. Relevant fields of study may be natural sciences, natural resource management, technical subjects, social sciences or law.
- Particularly relevant practice can compensate for formal education.
- It is an advantage if you have up-to-date expertise in climate and environmental requirements in municipal administration.
- It is desirable with relevant experience from similar work in the public or private sector.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Very good written and oral Norwegian presentation skills.
- Good competence and interest in digital work tools.
- Driver's license class B required.
