Stange municipality is looking for an ambitious and strategic project manager who will drive the project department forward and lead the work of developing, managing and realizing important construction projects for the municipality.

This is the position for you who want to combine strategic development, operational implementation and clear professional leadership. You are motivated by creating results with lasting value and want to contribute to good everyday life for the citizens of Stange municipality. The projects you manage - from kindergartens and schools to healthcare buildings and sports facilities - set the framework for services and quality of life in Stange, both now and in the future. Some of the projects you'll be working on include the new Romedal primary school, Åkersvika Hageby and the development of new residential plots in the municipality.

The property department manages a varied and significant property portfolio of over 125,000 square meters. The department is responsible for new construction, renovation, cleaning, operation and maintenance of the building stock, as well as the municipality's production kitchens, reception kitchens and canteens. In total, the property department consists of 101 man-years.

The project department consists of four man-years and is responsible for the planning, management and implementation of all the municipality's building projects. As a project manager, you will have both professional and financial responsibility for development projects, personnel responsibility for project managers, and a central place in the property department's management team. Here you will have the opportunity to lead projects of great importance, work closely with decisions and help shape the future of municipal buildings in Stange.

Tasks

  • Lead the project department and take care of the property manager's client responsibility in development projects
  • Personal responsibility for the project managers and participation in the property department's management team
  • Further develop the client role, project routines and tools for project management
  • Lead and follow up specific construction projects
  • Ensure good coordination and cooperation between projects, operations and end users
  • Contribute to political case studies related to construction projects

Qualifications

  • Higher relevant education in construction, at bachelor's or master's level
  • Experience with leadership and project management
  • Good knowledge and understanding of public procurement and related regulations
  • Good understanding of operation and maintenance of buildings
  • Good leadership skills, financial understanding and digital skills
  • Very good written and oral presentation skills in Norwegian
  • Driver's license class B

Competence can be built in several ways, and relevant work experience can therefore compensate for lack of formal education.
