We at Stange Health and Care Center are looking for a nurse or social care worker with a heart and passion for dementia care. We have a temporary position available through April 2027. If you’ve just completed your nursing or social care studies and are interested in working in dementia care, please take this opportunity and apply for the position with us!

The department currently consists of assisted living facilities, long-term care beds in a secure unit, and short-term care beds in a secure unit. The workdays are exciting and varied, consisting of comprehensive nursing and care, assessments and evaluations, and a focus on environmental care.

We are proud to be one of Stange Municipality’s largest organizations, with over 100 institutional beds and 10 assisted living facilities staffed around the clock. The Health and Care Center has five units divided between long-term somatic care beds and secure units for people with dementia.

At Stange Health and Care Center, we aim to set the standard for environmental therapy and person-centered care. We have extensive expertise in assessment and individually tailored interventions for patients with cognitive impairment and various somatic diagnoses.

You will be part of a nursing rotation that helps strengthen the nursing profession and the services we provide. Our organization is constantly growing and evolving, and you will be a valuable asset to our professional team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide and document healthcare in accordance with applicable requirements and laws.
  • Observations and professional assessments of patients.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues, patients, and family members.
  • Focus on activities that enhance quality of life and bring joy to individual service recipients
  • Contribute to collaboration between departments.

Qualifications

  • Valid license as a registered nurse or certified nursing assistant.
  • Experience in dementia care is preferred.
  • Strong ICT skills, and preferably familiarity with Gerica (Aidn).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid police background check must be presented before starting the position.
