Stange municipality, with its approximately 22,000 inhabitants and central location, is an important driving force for development in Inland Norway. We are now looking for controllers within the Finance Department.

The Finance Department consists of 17 employees in the areas of accounting, budget, payroll, collection and purchasing. Financial advice in Stange municipality is centralized, and by working with us you will be able to gain insight into the municipality's diverse service production. Stange municipality has a cost-effective service production, with an operating budget of approximately NOK 2.3 billion and an investment budget of approximately NOK 300 million.

The positions are part of the budget section and report to the budget manager. As our new controller, you are ambitious, fearless and have a desire to use your expertise in a proactive and advisory role to achieve the organization's goals. You are service-oriented, analytical and have good collaboration skills. You are professionally skilled in combination with being sociable and educational. Tasks

• Strategic advice for the companies in budget follow-up and financial reporting
• Conduct analyses and provide advice, guidance and support to the organization
• Heavily involved in preparing financial plans and budget work, together with both your own professional environment and the municipal area you are responsible for
• Financial management
• Responsibility for implementing and developing financial internal control that ensures good quality of the figures
• Contribute to better work processes and procedures in the financial area, as well as training within the finance area

Qualifications

• Relevant education at bachelor level
• Ability to work analytically and strategically, is goal-oriented and solution-oriented, and enjoys working in collaboration with others
• Experience from budget or accounting work, work proactively and enjoy giving advice
• Good digital understanding and good knowledge of the use of Excel
• Very good Norwegian written and oral presentation skills
  

Knowledge of municipalities and use of the system Framsikt is desirable, but not a requirement.
