We are looking for you who want to work with young children and their families. We have a vacant 100% temporary position from 01.08.2026-30.04.27

As a public health nurse, you play an important role in contributing to a safe and supportive upbringing, where children and adolescents can explore the world within a safe framework.

Your responsibility as a public health nurse is to promote the individual health of children and adolescents by strengthening their ability to mobilize their own resources and strengths. This includes a wide range of tasks, from health education and guidance to health screenings and vaccination programs. You will also be involved in the follow-up of children and young people with special needs, as well as assisting parents who require additional support.

The working day as a public health nurse is dynamic and shaped by current challenges in society and schools. We place great emphasis on collaboration, both with the child itself, the parents and other professional groups. In order to strengthen parental competence, we now have a strong focus on parental guidance in groups in collaboration with Stangehjelpa. Our overall goal is to ensure that children and young people in Stange municipality get a solid start in life, where they feel seen, heard and cared for.

Tasks

  • Examine, vaccinate and advise parents on health and upbringing.
  • Advise on issues relating to health, development and growth.
  • Identify, plan and organize measures in collaboration with other professional groups and agencies.
  • Information, education and preventive health work.
  • Participate in professional development together with colleagues.
  • Lead maternity, - 4 months. - and paternity groups.

Qualifications

  • You are a trained public health nurse.
  • You have experience from a health center.
  • You have knowledge of HspPro or other similar documentation systems.
  • You are a driving force in creating a good and inclusive working environment.
  • You have a good command of spoken and written Norwegian.
  • You have a class B driver's license.
