Ottestad Middle School is located in scenic surroundings, 3 kilometers south of the city of Hamar. The school was built in the 1960s but was fully renovated during the 2016–17 school year. The students who attend our school previously attended Arstad and Hoberg Elementary Schools. With us, you’ll become part of a dedicated team of teachers who work together to create a school where students thrive, develop, and learn in a varied and hands-on way.

We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled teacher for a permanent position. As a teacher with us, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of our students. Job Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality and supportive instruction to students.
  • Collaborate professionally at the grade level, within teams, and in subject groups.
  • Collaborate with the school’s other staff members for the benefit of the students and their learning.
  • Ensure that students receive tailored and varied instruction.

Qualifications

  • Approved teaching certification, preferably in Spanish and English
  • In addition, the following subject combinations may be desirable: social studies and arts and crafts
  • Strong digital skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A valid police clearance certificate is required upon hiring (in accordance with Section 10-9 of the Education Act)
