Nedre Tømte kindergarten is beautifully located at the bottom of Ottestad on the Nedre Tømte housing estate and has many great hiking spots nearby. We have versatile activities both inside and outside the kindergarten. When we're not in our own outdoor area, we go for walks in the local area, both to Lake Mjøsa and in the forest. Indoors, we have various themed rooms such as a sensory room, a climbing room and an all-purpose room that are used daily. We want the children to have activities and challenges that are adapted to them so that they feel mastery and joy. Our focus is on creating good arenas for play and learning.

Nedre Tømte is a 6-department kindergarten that from the fall of 1926 will expand to 8 departments with a temporary pavilion. This means that we need more committed educators from 01.08.26

Duties

• Responsibility and co-responsibility for planning, documentation and assessment, as well as implementation of the educational work in line with the framework plan
• Responsibility and co-responsibility for organizing and leading the staff and work in the department.
• Responsibility and co-responsibility for leading and organizing work with the children, by supporting children's curiosity, learning and wonder.
• Create a good learning environment characterized by inclusion and recognition.
• Collaborate with external professional bodies.
• Facilitate good collaboration with parents.

Qualifications

• Approved education as a kindergarten teacher. For applicants with relevant education from countries other than Norway, approval of the education is required from the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training. Documentation of the approval must be enclosed with the application.
• Experience from similar work is desirable.
  
• Good Norwegian oral and written presentation skills (minimum Norwegian B level)
• Police certificate must be presented before appointment.
