Stange Municipality is on the verge of exciting developments, and we need someone like you who wants to take responsibility for the municipality’s road network and contribute to safe and efficient infrastructure. As a road manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring good solutions for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians—all year round.

In the Municipal Engineering Department, we currently have an opening where the primary responsibility is the management and operation of municipal transportation infrastructure. This involves overseeing summer and winter maintenance, both through the municipal contractor and via agreements with private contractors. The position also includes processing work notification plans and excavation permits.

Job Responsibilities

• You will have primary responsibility for the management and operation of municipal roads, walking and biking paths, sidewalks, and street lighting.
• You will oversee summer and winter maintenance, both internally and through external contractors.
• You will work with traffic safety, traffic planning, and landscape maintenance.
• Processing work notification plans and excavation permits is part of your daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education.
• Practical experience in road construction and management is desirable, preferably with experience in municipal engineering or administrative work. This may compensate for a lack of formal education.
• Skills and knowledge of new technology, and the ability to use tools that streamline our work processes.

• You are able to engage with residents and partners in a constructive manner and help find effective solutions.
