Studies show that women and underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet every requirement. At Stegra, we’re building an impact-driven, sustainable company - and we need a diverse, inclusive team to make it happen.

If you share our passion but don’t meet every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be the perfect fit for this role, or another as we grow.

At Stegra, we’re not just building a plant, we’re proving that sustainable industry is possible. And to do that, we need people like you.

Join a team where safety comes first. Where we support each other, learn as we go, and make space for everyone to grow and contribute. This is your chance to be part of something big - while being closer to nature and leading a balanced, purposeful life.

What you’ll do

Right now, we are looking for a Asset Development Manager for our Asset Management team. In this role you will report to Asset Manager and sit within our Mill Services function.

We are looking for someone who will take the lead in shaping and improving how we manage maintenance processes and systems, pushing forward innovation in line with Stegra’s Asset Management strategy.

You’ll be supporting process owners across our matrix organization. You'll work hands-on to enhance systems like CMMS, making sure we're always moving toward smarter, better ways of working. You'll also run training programs to equip stakeholders with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. Most importantly, you’ll make sure that safety, compliance, and sustainability are built into everything we do.

Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safe and compliant environment by aligning maintenance systems with global standards like ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, ensuring safety is at the core of every process.
  • Lead and support a team of process owners, driving Stegra’s Asset Management strategy and sustainability goals forward.
  • Develop digital tools, improve CMMS systems, and make sure stakeholders have what they need to succeed.
  • Audit and improve maintenance processes by working closely with teams to spot opportunities and make real changes.
  • Run practical training sessions that build skills, improve efficiency, and create a strong, supportive team environment.
  • Provide expert guidance in contract management, outsourcing strategies, and lifecycle management, contributing to business success and long-term impact.

What you’ll bring

You’re curious and believe that real progress happens when we work together. You’re not afraid to challenge old ways of thinking - and you treat others with respect while doing it. At Stegra, we value people who take initiative, build trust, and help create a workplace where everyone can do their best.

Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below:

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with extensive experience in maintenance operations, especially in heavy industry and manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire technical teams, fostering growth and collaboration in large organizations.
  • Skilled in CMMS, asset management, lifecycle management, and digital maintenance solutions, with a strong understanding of asset information systems.
  • A role model for safety culture, with deep knowledge of ISO and IATF standards (9001/14001/45001/50001).
  • Strong grasp of maintenance processes, procurement contracts, and outsourcing strategies, ensuring operational and cost efficiency.
  • Very good communication skills in English, basic Swedish, and the ability to navigate matrix organizations with ease.
