Automation Engineer
As our new Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and improving the automation systems that keep our production processes safe, stable and efficient. You will work with servers, database solutions, communication networks, control equipment and much more - always with a focus on smart solutions and holistic thinking. In this role, you will report to Dibya Sishya Behera and become part of our DRI function. The team is responsible for the smooth running of the DRI facility at Stegra's site in Boden.
In this role you will have some set responsibilities, but as we are a growing company with some silos between the teams, other tasks may also crop up - and we like that!
This is what you will do
- Manage our automation systems: servers, database solutions, communication networks and control equipment.
- Work closely with other teams to solve problems, increase productivity and maintain the highest level of security.
- Drive automation improvement projects - from design to final implementation - and make sure everything fits together. Document automation systems in a smart way (SOPs) so that knowledge is spread and the systems last in the long run.
- Analyze production data, find bottlenecks and suggest smart optimizations.

For this particular role, we'd like you to be able to check off several of the items below:

A degree in automation, electrical engineering, computer science or similar.

Experience from process industry.

Knowledge of Siemens PCS7 DCS and Siemens S7 PLC systems.

Experience or knowledge in SQL, SCADA and a deep understanding of industrial communication protocols (DP/DP, PN/PN, OPC UA/DA).

Experience with MES/ERP systems and process modeling.
