We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Freight Operator to join our steel planning and freight team. As a Freight Operator, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing, packing and dispatch of outbound shipments. You will play a key role in ensuring that our high quality steel products reach our customers safely and on time.

About us:

Stegra is an industrial impact company with the ambition to reduce carbon emissions in fossil-intensive industries that are struggling to transition. We are building our first large-scale green hydrogen, green iron and green steel production facility in Boden. Founded in 2020 as H2 Green Steel and renamed Stegra in 2024, our purpose has expanded to be the engine of the decarbonization of emission-intensive industries. And we recognize that these are the industries we will continue to address and reduce emissions in.

We have offices in Boden and Stockholm and expect to be around 1500 employees by the end of 2025. Responsibilities:

  • Active contribution to a safe working environment by participating in the development and maintenance of process control and safety practices
  • Take appropriate action when you encounter errors or anomalies that affect production.
  • Load coils safely in railroad cars or on trucks, and ensure that safety guidelines are followed.
  • Scan labels to ensure that the coil is correctly placed in the warehouse and sent to the right destination.
  • Assisting with training new employees, sharing knowledge and ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Together with the rest of the team, maintain excellent housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
  • Your experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • More than 2 years experience in related heavy industry.
    • Experience driving a forklift and/or overhead crane.
    • Good knowledge of English; basic knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and safely.

    Advantages:

    • Experience in a steel mill environment is an advantage.
    • Basic mechanical skills.
    • Knowledge of general and logistical security guidelines in Sweden.
