For this particular role, the day-to-day duties will include the following.

  • Lead and support the work of mechanical testing, ensuring that each result is accurate and reliable.
  • .
  • Guiding the team in using the equipment safely and maintaining smooth daily operations.
  • .
  • Identify and resolve issues early by reviewing data and improving testing processes.
  • .
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure effective testing and drive continuous improvement in the work of the laboratory.

What you bring

You are curious and believe that real progress happens when we collaborate.
You're not afraid to question old ways of working - and you do it with respect for others.
At Stegra we value people who take initiative, build trust and contribute to a workplace where everyone can do their best.

For this role, we would like you to be able to check off a good number of the points below:

  • Practical experience in a mechanical or materials testing laboratory, with a curiosity and concern for how things are made.
  • Understanding of standards and testing methods in the steel industry, or a strong desire to develop that expertise.
  • Confident in coordinating laboratory work and acting as the obvious contact person for technical support and smooth collaboration.
  • Accurate and safety conscious in everything you do.
  • Comfortable using modern laboratory tools, computer systems and digital platforms.
  • .
  • Very good communication skills in English, and Swedish is a plus.

You will receive competitive remuneration in line with current collective agreements, along with benefits such as up to 30 days paid vacation, occupational pension, parental benefits and insurance.
