As a Crane and Logistics Operator, you’ll be part of our Cranes and Logistics team, reporting to the Raw Materials Manager, as you take on a key role in the safe and efficient operation of various types of cranes. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the smooth transport of materials and equipment across site — helping keep our production lines running at their best.

What you’ll do:

  • Safely operate various types of cranes according to load charts and lifting plans.
  • Lift, load, unload, and transport equipment and materials.
  • Conduct pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure good working conditions.
  • Take responsibility to contribute to a safe work environment by actively participating in the development and upkeep of process control and safety practices as well a robust safety culture.
  • Assist team members with daily operations and participate in rotation of work duties in order to develop competence within the shift team.
  • Together with the rest of the team, maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
  • You will have the freedom to make decisions and to be proactive in finding solutions. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Practical experience in crane or logistics operations, ideally within heavy industry, with solid understanding of lifting equipment and material handling
  • Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent operational experience.
  • Proficient in understanding and working with mechanical systems and machinery.
  • A strong safety mindset backed by relevant certifications (e.g. Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, or equivalent).
  • A structured, reliable, and detail-oriented way of working, combined with a collaborative approach and willingness to support others.
  • Physical readiness to take on demanding tasks, including working at heights; good depth perception is essential.
  • EU Driving license B is required. Other certifications, such as crane, forklift, or other heavy vehicles are considered a plus.
  • Good English skills: basic Swedish skills are a plus.

About Stegra

Stegra is on a mission to change the global steel industry by producing green hydrogen, iron, and steel - with the goal of eliminating CO₂ emissions. Instead of coal, we use green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity, meaning our primary emissions will be water and heat.
