Are you the one?

Research shows that women and other under-represented groups within our industry hesitate to apply unless they tick most boxes of a role description. At Stegra, we are building an impact company with sustainability at its core. We need a diverse, inclusive, and authentic team to rally behind our purpose of de-carbonizing hard-to-abate industries, starting with steel.

So, if you are equally passionate about our purpose yet concerned that your experience doesn’t perfectly align with the qualifications stated in the job advert, we strongly encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate, either for this role – or for another upcoming role in our rapidly growing business.

About us:

Stegra is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what’s next in store for us.

We are looking for talented, innovative, and purpose-driven people to join our rapidly growing and diverse team. Our employees get to learn everyday, implement the latest technology and test and put their ideas into practice. Together, we are building an impact company with sustainability at its core – for our people, customers, investors, society, and planet.

Site Services Coordinator – Area Coordinators
Are you ready to take ownership of daily operations in one of the most dynamic industrial construction sites in the world? As a Site Services Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping your assigned area running smoothly by solving problems on the ground, coordinating logistics and contractors, and ensuring the site functions safely and efficiently.

Join our Site Services team in Boden, where we need five proactive individuals to take on area responsibilities across BOP/SIN, HMP, DRP, STM Hot, and STM Cold. This is a boots-on-the-ground role — ideal for those who are currently underutilized but eager to contribute in a fast-moving environment.

We are looking for five team members who are hands-on, solutions-focused, and energized by site-based work. You’ll each manage one area and serve as the go-to person for infrastructure, logistics, and workforce support, in close collaboration with Site Services Leads.
Whether you have some relevant experience or are simply proactive, curious, and ready to get to work, we want to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to gain broad exposure across site operations and make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities
As Site Services Coordinator, you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for all logistics, site infrastructure, and services in your area.
  • Solve daily operational issues on-site, escalating problems where needed.
  • Monitor site conditions like snow, dust, road access, laydown areas, and drainage.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are delivered to the correct locations and stored properly.
  • Coordinate daily with key on-site contractors such as Treab (snow removal), Renta (machinery), Norrläge (carpentry), J&B (temporary power), and Hansen’s (heavy equipment).
  • Review and verify work orders and invoices before submitting to the central team.
  • Support the safe and efficient use of machinery and vehicles, in collaboration with the HSE team.
  • Help organize contractor welfare, including shuttles, break areas, cleaning services, and smoking zones.
  • Provide weekly updates and participate in coordination meetings with other Area Coordinators and stakeholders.

Qualifications
We know not everyone will tick every box, and that’s okay — we value attitude and curiosity just as much as experience.

We’re especially looking for people who:

  • Are comfortable working outdoors on a construction site
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish and English (essential for working with local contractors)
  • Are flexible, reliable, and self-managing
  • Are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable using digital tools for reporting and coordination
  • Are curious, not afraid to ask questions, and willing to learn fast
  • Have a positive, collaborative attitude and enjoy solving practical problems

Prior experience is not required — we’re looking for engaged people ready to take responsibility and grow into the role.

Location: Boden, Sweden
Start: As soon as possible
Contract: Temporary assignment, with potential for extension
