Your Future Role

Our studio offers a wide range of expertise, from architecture and planning to landscape architecture and interior design. We are locally based in Luleå but are also part of Sweco Sweden, which means we have access to a vast interdisciplinary resource pool. Specialists in areas such as structural engineering, acoustics, sustainability, and lighting design are right at our fingertips.

As an intern at Sweco Architects in Luleå, you’ll become part of our day-to-day work and the studio’s collaborative efforts. The content of your internship will be tailored to current projects, the studio’s needs, and your interests and skills.

You’ll have the opportunity to observe how we work at different stages of the architectural process and participate in both creative and more analytical tasks. This can involve everything from early concept and design discussions to working with models, drawings, visualizations, or presentations with the support of experienced colleagues.

The internship provides insight into what it’s like to work at an architecture studio that combines a local presence in Luleå with Sweco’s broad, interdisciplinary organization. We view the internship as a mutual learning experience where you’ll have the opportunity to develop while contributing new perspectives and ideas to our studio.

Start: September 2026

Duration: full-time for 5 months, with the possibility of extension

Who we’re looking for—is it you?

We’re looking for someone who is enrolled in an architecture program in Lund, Gothenburg, Stockholm, or Umeå—or an equivalent program in another country—and who has completed at least two years of their studies before the internship begins.

You:

• are creative with strong design skills
• are organized and able to prioritize your work
• are communicative, a good team player, and down-to-earth
• are proficient in Adobe software. Basic knowledge of Revit, for example, is a plus.
• are fluent in spoken and written Swedish
