At SSC, we enable our customers to make better use of space. Through the efforts of our approximately 660 employees around the world, we provide specialist expertise in the design, testing, launch and operation of space and air systems. The Scientific Services Division develops rocket and balloon systems including experimental equipment for microgravity research. We also carry out launches of rockets and balloons from the Esrange Space Center.

YOUR ROLE
We can offer you an exciting job as a Systems Engineer in our Launch Team. The role mainly consists of operational activities with responsibility in the area of electronics, fiber and networks. You will have a wide range of duties from operational preparations to the execution of rocket and balloon campaigns. You will also work with planning, maintenance and development of systems and equipment required for our launches. In this role you will be trained to take responsibility for operational systems for our rocket and balloon campaigns.

You have a technical degree or equivalent experience in electronics, fiber or networks. You demonstrate an understanding of and have the ability to carry out safe operations. Your competence in both Swedish and English is crucial, as we operate in a global environment with customers from different parts of the world.

PLACE
This is a permanent position with 40h/week located at the Esrange Space Center outside Kiruna and remote work can only occur in exceptional cases. As part of our team, you will participate in rocket and balloon campaigns that are scheduled outside of regular business hours. Work at different locations may also occur during campaigns.
