Your role in our team

As a Business Analyst with us, you will:

  • Work with strategy, goals and business planning and transform complex regulations and market conditions into clear strategic choices.

  • You will have a key role in how Umeå's electricity network develops in line with electrification, growth and increased regulatory requirements.

  • By developing, pricing and following up our services, you contribute to a stable, fair and future-proof electricity network that benefits both residents and businesses in Umeå.

  • Have a central role in contact with colleagues, management, authorities and industry players, run projects and ensure that reporting and collaboration work smoothly in everyday life.

  • You act as support in matters relating to customer agreements and contractual terms and conditions and contribute to a structured and businesslike handling of the industry's regulatory requirements.

You will be an important part of a committed team that always puts Umeå first. Your closest colleagues work in similar areas. You will report to the Business Manager Electricity Networks and work closely with finance, technology and management

To succeed in the role you will need:

  • Relevant academic education in economics, law or related field.

  • An analytical ability combined with the ability to make decisions and choose directions.

  • Responsible attitude and ability to work independently.

  • A non-prestigious attitude and good teamwork skills.

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience in the energy market or electricity network regulation Knowledge of regulations, supervisory processes and regulatory requirements in the energy industry will allow you to contribute more quickly to strategic and business decisions.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience of working with data and decision support Experience of, for example, advanced Excel, BI tools or financial analysis models will help you to transform complex information into clear data for management and operations.
