Your mission

As a Business Sales Representative, you will have a varied and challenging everyday life characterized by sales where you will work to identify new customers and business opportunities, while strengthening our existing customer relationships.

In the role, you will specialize in one of our product areas - District Heating, Electricity Trading or Broadband - where, through your expertise in the sales and product area, you have a great responsibility throughout the sales process and are the link between customer and business. On a day-to-day basis, you will actively work the market with a focus on business growth, using a common sales strategy and close collaboration both inside and outside your sales team to ensure customer expectations and help achieve business goals.

Your main tasks:

Proactively cultivate customers for growing business.

Prospect and find new customers/business opportunities.

Develop long-term business that is good for all parties.

Develop existing business/clients and sell new services.

Be the cohesive contact both internally and externally.

Ensure a plan for recurring follow-up with existing customers (e.g. after completion of delivery, changes in services/price, or an annual review/contact).

Responsible for following up on leads, quotes and movements in the customer base.

Continuously analyze customer behaviors and needs via customer insights.

External and market monitoring in the relevant area.

Participate in customer arrangements and events.

In the role, you will work independently but in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders in the sales process and delivery to customers. For example, colleagues in the sales team, contractors/installers, product developers, decision makers and end customers.

To succeed in the role you will have:

  • A deep technical understanding of one or more of Umeå Energi's product areas District Heating, Electricity Trading and Broadband.
  • Full upper secondary education and preferably experience and/or higher education with a focus on sales, finance, marketing, energy and/or equivalent.
  • Good language skills in Swedish/English.
  • Good computer skills in Office 365 and CRM systems.
  • B-driving license.

Meritorious

  • Experience of complex pre-sales in the energy industry or other service-based industry.
  • Experience of selling to and/or working in the real estate industry.
  • Experience in business development.
