Your role in our team

IT is a separate area and we are now redesigning our organization to better meet new needs and create even better conditions for development at Umeå Energi. Together with the CIO, three managers in IT and our Cybersecurity expert, you form our IT Management Team and lead Umeå Energi's digitization journey.

As Chief Architect with us, you will:

• Responsible for leading the development & management of the company's IT architecture.
• Focus on creating order & structure in the system landscape and ensuring that the IT environment supports the current and future needs of the business.
• With a strategic and operational approach, contribute to a sustainable & efficient IT architecture that enables digital transformation.
• Coordinate the teams within IT and outside IT needed to ensure that everyone understands the target picture for our architecture and works in line with it.

You will be an important part of a committed team that always puts Umeå first. We are looking for you who have a strong background in IT who thrives in a changing business. You see opportunities where others see obstacles and have the ability to drive change and development.

We can be a good match if you:

• Have a relevant university education in IT, computer science or equivalent.
• Have at least 5 years of current experience working with IT architecture, system design or integration projects.
• Have experience in modern system development.
• Have knowledge and experience of microservices, container management, serverless. architecture and cloud strategies (e.g. hybrid cloud, multi-cloud).
• Have documented good technical skills in IT architecture, including system integration, cloud solutions and technical standards.
• Have the ability to document and visualize IT architecture using tools.
• Has an understanding of IT security, data protection (GDPR), cybersecurity.
• Has good skills in information architecture and data platforms.

Advantageous in this role is if you have:

• Experience in change management.
• SAFe Agilist.
• Experience in managing complex system environments, preferably in the energy sector or public sector.
• Experience in digital transformation.
