We are looking for a committed and business-driven CIO (Chief Information Officer) to drive our digitization and lead our IT operations in an exciting time of change and development. You will have a key role in developing and implementing strategies to meet the challenges of the future. Our mission is socially important - to drive the energy transition in the region. It requires a change and development of us in order to be flexible enough to meet both Umeå Energi's and the world's demands for digitization. We are currently in an expansive phase for our digitization investment. Here you will become a central leader to drive innovation and create solutions that enable our transition.

Our IT department works to ensure deliveries to the company's customers by managing and developing digitization needs for all our different parts of the business. A business support function that works daily to meet and support & develop the businesses and operations in their needs. The department consists of 40 employees

Your responsibilities include to:

  • Overall responsibility for and leading the work in the IT department to support Umeå Energi's vision and goals and create a positive work environment that promotes collaboration & innovation
  • Ensure an overall IT strategy that supports the company's business strategies
  • Translating business needs into concrete IT solutions and ensuring the quality of IT operations
  • Responsible for the Tech roadmap and Digital roadmap as well as their implementation
  • Have budget, delivery and results responsibility
  • Have personnel responsibility over some employees
  • Ensure robustness and security in the company's IT infrastructure
  • Analyze the outside world to identify new opportunities and challenges in the digital landscape
  • Act and be Umeå Energi's face to the outside in matters relating to IT's business area
  • Part of the management group for Business Support and Development.

Qualifications

  • Academic education in IT or education that, together with work experience, is deemed relevant for the position
  • Previous experience as CIO or equivalent role where you had overall responsibility for a company's total IT operations including development organization
  • Worked with business-oriented and business-oriented IT
  • Leadership experience with personnel, budget and results responsibility
  • Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and confident in the English language.

Meritorious:

  • Worked with IT strategies and implemented these
  • Experience in change management.
