Your role in our team

We are looking for you with broad experience from the construction or industrial industry for the role of strategic buyer contract.

• You enjoy running projects and have a great interest in the good business.
• You have the ability to understand, develop and establish strategies for the business within the group companies.
• You monitor the business environment and keep up to date on the market situation for the good of Umeå.
• An important part of your work is to work closely with the business and have the courage to lead.

You will be an important part of a committed team that always puts Umeå first. Your closest colleagues lead the purchasing work and procure in all of Umeå Energi's areas of activity - everything from smaller needs to large complex projects in cross-functional teams. To succeed in the role, you need: 

• Post-secondary education. For example, an academic degree with a focus on law, economics, technology, construction or purchasing education from a vocational college, or other work experience that is considered equivalent.
• Several years of work experience in purchasing, procurement, contracting or other type of work where the business is in focus.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing and good knowledge of English.

It is a plus if you also: 

• Experience of purchasing / procurement from business or the public sector.
• Knowledge and experience of regulations governing contracts (AB, ABT, ABK and AMA system)
• Knowledge and experience of working in an organization as a technician, engineer, buyer or similar.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of public procurement and experience of contract procurement
