Your role in our team

We are now redesigning our IT organization to better meet new needs and create even better conditions for development at Umeå Energi. You will be one of three managers who, together with the CIO, our Chief Architect and our Cybersecurity expert, form our IT Management Team and lead Umeå Energi's digitization journey.

As Head of IT Operations, Support and Management with us, you will:

• Responsible operationally and tactically for the operation, support and management of the IT systems that are under the responsibility of the IT unit.
• Lead teams, develop processes and ensure that IT services meet both the needs of the business in the present and in the future.
• Responsible for ensuring that we maintain a sufficiently high level of cybersecurity for Umeå Energi's operations and services. This in collaboration with our cybersecurity expert.
• Employee responsibility for employees in several teams.
• Together with employees in your team, ensure that you have the right abilities and skills to take on today's and tomorrow's challenges.

You are a present leader who takes responsibility for the mission, individual and business. You act with courage, commitment and curiosity. You will be an important part of a committed team that always puts Umeå first. 

We can be a good match if you:

• Have relevant academic education, for example in Systems Science, Informatics, Industrial Economics, IT Management, Technical Computer Science or other education in combination with equivalent experience that is relevant to work in the IT organization's value flows.
• Has several years of current experience working with IT operations, support and management in complex IT environments.
• Has competence and understanding of hybrid environments (on-prem/cloud)
• Has current experience of ITIL / IT Service Management or similar
• Has knowledge of Management Models - for example PM3 or similar models
• Has knowledge and experience of working with IT infrastructure, networks, platforms, user support, system operations
• Has at least three years of management experience in IT within the last five years.
• Has documented experience of leading change work with good results for both employees and the business.
• Thrives in a changing business and sees opportunities where others see obstacles.

Adding value in this role is if you have:

• Knowledge of information security and IT security (Cybersecurity)
• Training in ITIL Foundation (or similar)
• Scrum Master/SAFe certification
• Experience in the Energy sector and municipal or public sector
• Experience in change management
• Training in leadership, coaching/mentoring
