In Distribution Elnät, we ensure that the ambitions that Umeå Energi as a company, and Umeå as a region, have, are realized both by planning / preparing the work to be done but also that we carry out the practical work in the field. We are an internal supplier to our business but work in symbiosis to ensure that our total electricity process is as safe, businesslike and good as possible. We are currently a total of ~70 employees. The energy industry is facing many challenges, one of the most interesting is that we will become climate neutral and fossil-free. In this role, you will be able to contribute to that!

Your mission

In your role, you will be responsible for and lead a team of 8 internal employees and a number of external resources working as road lighting technicians and project engineers. Your team will work on receiving orders for Umeå's road lighting needs, preparing/designing them and then carrying out the work in the field, as well as many other exciting things. The responsibilities that the group handles are largely governed by current laws and regulations.

As a manager in road lighting, you have an important role in creating the right conditions for your employees and you are responsible for all issues throughout the employee life cycle, which will include: - Employee appraisals/salary reviews/individual review meetings - Allocated health and safety responsibilities - Recruitment and skills planning - Annual planning process - Driving change and development work based on set objectives - Multiple points of contact, for example via collaboration forums with the business/customers, other electricity companies and industry organizations - Participation in management team work where you belong to a group with a number of managers - Ensure compliance with current regulations on electrical work and related areas.

To succeed in the role, you have

- Engineering education or education/work experience that we consider relevant - A few years of management experience with personnel responsibility - Proven experience of driving successful change management and strategy work - Experience of setting, following up and providing feedback on goals - B driving license.Additional

- Experience of working with a client / an implementing organization but also in being a requirement-setting function - Electrical power competence - Experience of working with electrical issues - Experience of road lighting - Experience of change management. Personal qualities
