As an Information Security Coordinator, you’ll have the opportunity to influence, create structure, and drive development while serving as a support to the organization. Through close collaboration with managers, leadership, and colleagues, you’ll help ensure that information security becomes a natural part of how we work and evolve.
Your role in our team
You’ll play a central role in driving and further developing Umeå Energi’s systematic information security efforts. You’ll work in a consultative capacity with managers, business leaders, and specialists to translate requirements, risks, and regulations into practical solutions that create value for the business. To thrive with us, we believe you are someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex issues, builds trusting relationships, and has the ability to help others understand the value of information security.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and monitoring guidelines, processes, and procedures for information security.
Supporting the business in information classification, risk analyses, and security assessments.
Provide strategic support to management and the business on issues related to information security, risk, and compliance.
Help increase knowledge and build a strong security culture within the organization.
Monitor developments in legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with management and the business in a role that has a significant impact on the company’s strategic development. You will work in the company’s security function and be part of our information security team.
To succeed in this role, you need:
Relevant academic education in, for example, information security, IT security, law, or business development, or equivalent experience.
Several years of experience in information security and data protection.
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, such as NIS2, security protection legislation, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, GDPR
Experience with risk management, information classification, and security governance.
Strong ability to communicate with both operational staff and management.
It is a plus if you also have:
Experience leading and coordinating work related to NIS2/the Cybersecurity Act, ISO 27001, or equivalent frameworks.
Technical understanding or knowledge in the field of cybersecurity
Experience with security issues related to procurement or supply chains
Experience working in critical infrastructure, the energy sector, or the public sector
Experience with change management or training initiatives in the field of information security
