Your role in our team

Umeå Energi is responsible for high availability of broadband, electricity, cooling and heating, which includes everything from planning and construction to production, operation and maintenance.

As an operations technician with us, you will:

• Operate, supervise and maintain our boilers, heat pumps and cooling systems to ensure safe and efficient energy production.
• Contribute to Umeå residents getting a stable and sustainable energy supply - every day, all year round.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external actors, handle error reports, document the work and adjust facilities for the best possible availability, work environment and cost efficiency.

You will be an important part of a committed team that always puts Umeå first. Your closest colleagues work with district heating and district cooling production at the external production facilities.

The service is daytime and standby duty according to schedule is included in the service.

• Have an operating technician education or other education or experience that is considered equivalent.
• Is practical and solution-focused - likes to take your own initiative.
• Enjoys collaborating and communicating clearly.
• Is curious and wants to develop in the role.
• Has the ability to plan, prioritize and think ahead.
• Has a strong safety mindset and puts safety first.
• Wants to contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
• B driving license.

Advantageous in this role is if you have:

• Experience in operation and maintenance from the manufacturing or process industry.
• That you are a boiler operator according to AFS 2017: 3.
• Knowledge of IFS.
• Hold a refrigerant certificate.
