Your role in our team

As a Maintenance Planning Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in creating the right conditions for safe, efficient, and well-planned maintenance at our production facilities.

You’ll work closely with operations, maintenance, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that planned maintenance work is thoroughly prepared before implementation.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and planning maintenance activities at our production facilities.

• Managing work orders and ensuring that work is well prepared prior to execution.

• Order materials and spare parts and ensure that the correct materials and documentation are available.

• Coordinate internal resources, external contractors, and suppliers.

• Process invoices, participate in budgeting, and contribute to a business-oriented approach.

• Participate in procurement processes as well as in the planning and execution of maintenance shutdowns.

• Serve as an expert user of our maintenance system and support and train colleagues in its use.

• Follow up on completed maintenance tasks and help develop and streamline the maintenance and work order processes.

The role is both planning-intensive and hands-on. You must therefore be comfortable combining structure and foresight with practical technical understanding and problem-solving in your day-to-day work.

You will be part of Maintenance Planning, where planners, maintenance engineers, process engineers, and documentation engineers work together to ensure high availability and long-term sustainable maintenance at Umeå Energi’s production facilities.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Technical education at least at the high school level in process engineering, mechanics, automation, maintenance, or equivalent skills gained through work experience.

• At least two years of practical experience in mechanical work, mechanical maintenance, and/or as an operations technician in an industrial setting.

• Strong technical understanding.

• Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

• Class B driver’s license.

• Be organized, self-motivated, and a good team player.

The following are considered a plus:

• Experience in maintenance preparation or maintenance planning.

• Experience with IFS or another maintenance system.

• Experience with procurement and working with suppliers and contractors.

• Experience in power and heat production.
