Your Role on Our Team
As a systems engineer with us, you will:
Ensure that meter readings for district heating and district cooling are collected, reviewed, and of high quality. Your work forms the basis for accurate billing and provides both customers and the business with reliable information.
Ensure that Umeå’s district heating and district cooling meters function properly by planning meter replacements, monitoring meter data, and helping to ensure that energy deliveries are measured accurately. In this way, you help create a stable and efficient energy supply for the residents of Umeå.
Provide essential support to colleagues, customers, and technicians on issues related to metering and meter data. One day you’ll be analyzing anomalies in our systems; the next, you’ll be helping to resolve a metering issue or developing smarter work methods together with the team.
You’ll become an important part of a dedicated team that always puts Umeå first. Your immediate colleagues work in Heating/Cooling/Services, where expertise in metering, automation, service, and delivery planning comes together to create a secure, sustainable, and reliable energy supply for the residents of Umeå.
To succeed in this role, you need:
A post-secondary education in measurement technology, energy, automation, electrical power, or another field we deem equivalent.
Have experience working with technical systems, measurement data, analysis, or system management in an industrial, energy, or infrastructure setting.
Have a good command of Swedish and English, as well as a Class B driver’s license, since the role involves collaborating with both colleagues and external contacts, as well as occasional visits to our facilities.
It is a plus if you also:
Have experience leading or participating in system development and improvement projects.
