Överförmyndarenheten i Umeåregionen (ÖFUR) is the administrative, preparatory and executive organization for guardians in Umeå, Bjurholm, Nordmalings, Robertsfors, Vindeln, Vännäs and Örnsköldsvik municipalities. The unit has offices in Umeå and Örnsköldsvik. We are now looking for an administrator to be based at the office in Umeå. The Guardianship Unit reviews the activities of guardians, trustees and administrators on the basis of the lists, annual accounts, final accounts and other documents and information that have been submitted. The unit is responsible for the recruitment and training of guardians and trustees and provides information and advice in the field of guardianship. As an administrator at the Guardianship Unit, you work with: Processing cases concerning guardians, guardians or trustees under the Parental Code. Responsible for the recruitment and remuneration of guardians and trustees. Examine accounting documents such as annual and final accounts. Providing training and information to guardians and trustees Writing opinions and reports in the field of activity Representing the Board in court. Carrying out other tasks relating to the Guardianship Unit. You work with investigation, processing and supervision of accounting documents in the guardianship area. You will handle cases in accordance with the applicable rules in the Parental Code, the Administrative Procedure Act and other statutes. This may involve, for example, drawing up statements to the court, investigative work, handling appeals and, where appropriate, representing the guardian in court. About you This is a job where not everything is always done by the end of the day. We are looking for a colleague who enjoys a job where the pace is often high and where the working day does not always look the same. You need to be able to take responsibility for your tasks, make your own decisions and handle matters independently. You will have cases that run over time, reminders that remain and tasks that need to be reprioritized based on what comes in to the authority. Structure exists and is necessary, but it needs to be flexible, as the working day is largely governed by the inflow. To thrive, you need to feel confident in having several things going on at the same time. Qualification requirements: University degree in law, economics, social work or other education and experience deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience of exercising authority. Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Meritorious: Good knowledge of the legislation governing the activities. Experience of practical work in law enforcement or other supervisory activities.
