Are you the one?

Are you looking for a key administrative role where you can contribute to a sustainable environment and provide services to residents, businesses, and colleagues? Do you enjoy creating structure, keeping track of many concurrent tasks, and providing professional service? If so, this might be the job for you.

We work in accordance with the municipality’s development strategy for water and wastewater—a long-term plan to ensure good water quality, secure the drinking water supply, and create cost-effective, sustainable wastewater solutions. One component of the strategy is a plan for private wastewater management, with the goal that all small wastewater systems in the municipality will meet the applicable treatment requirements under the Environmental Code by 2032 at the latest.

About the Job

As an administrator in the small wastewater treatment sector, you will provide vital support to the department’s case managers and serve as a central point of contact for incoming inquiries. The role is broad and varied, encompassing day-to-day administration, case management, and public service.

You are responsible for ensuring that incoming documents and inquiries are handled in a legally sound and efficient manner, and for helping to ensure that the department’s processes run smoothly and maintain high quality.

Job Responsibilities

As an administrator in the small wastewater systems division, you will be responsible for handling incoming cases, inquiries, and documents, as well as managing and following up on cases in the department’s case management system. You will provide service to citizens, businesses, and colleagues; release public documents; and support case officers in regulatory and permitting matters.

The role also includes quality-assuring incoming data, managing mailings, notifications, and appeals, preparing for inspection activities, and working with data management, statistics, and follow-up. You will also contribute to developing and improving administrative procedures and work methods.

The role involves frequent interaction with various stakeholders and close collaboration with the agency’s case officers.

We are looking for someone who has

  • At least a high school diploma.
  • Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with administrative work, preferably in the public sector.
  • Experience with record-keeping, document management, and administrative systems.
  • Knowledge of public sector operations and an understanding of public access to information, confidentiality, and the legally sound handling of information.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and carry out tasks independently from start to finish.
  • Strong digital skills and an aptitude for learning new systems.

It is advantageous if you have experience

  • in administrative work within the field of environmental and health protection.
  • from working at an environmental office or in other public authority operations.
  • the case and document management system Ecos.

Your Personal Qualities

To thrive and succeed in this role, you are a structured person who works carefully and methodically even when the pace is fast. You have a strong ability to prioritize, take responsibility, and drive the work forward.

You are service-oriented and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with residents, businesses, and colleagues. At the same time, you are responsive, team-oriented, and skilled at building strong relationships.

When circumstances change, you are flexible and adapt quickly to new situations. You are eager to contribute ideas and initiatives that help develop our operations and work methods.

We place great emphasis on personal fit.

We look forward to receiving your application!

With us, you’ll have a varied and important role where you’ll help ensure that our operations run efficiently and in compliance with the law. Together, we work to provide excellent service, high quality, and sustainable development.

Before applying
