Tomtebogård consists of a preschool with four departments and a school F-3. Tomtebogård is located at Tomtebo in the eastern part of Umeå, close to nature on the shores of Lake Nydala. Here, just over 245 pupils play and learn in the school and 70 children in the preschool. The units have a natural and close collaboration between teachers, preschool teachers, recreational educators and childcare workers where learning for sustainable development is a central part of the teaching. Employment information The position is a permanent position, full time, starting as soon as possible by agreement. Your work tasks Pedagogical work at the recreation center and collaboration with other teacher groups and resource educators in school and preschool class. You, together with other teachers in the recreation center, are responsible for developing schoolyard learning. You systematically plan, document, implement and follow up on pupils' needs and progress to ensure activities that support pupils' development and learning in accordance with the curriculum for the after-school program, where sustainability issues have a natural place. About you You are familiar with the school's governing documents, have the ability to vary teaching and activities according to pupils' needs. You are a confident adult and a good role model who has the ability to connect with students, see each individual and create a good learning environment. You motivate students by allowing them to participate and make their own suggestions. You have good cooperation skills with colleagues and external parties. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Requirements Qualified teacher/applied for a teaching license with the right to teach in after-school programs Experience of working in after-school care Valid extract from the criminal record Good knowledge of Swedish language in speech and writing We see it as a merit in this position if you have experience of working with pupils in need of special support, as well as signs as support for communication.
