Tomtebogård consists of a preschool with four departments and a school F-3. Tomtebogård is located in Tomtebo in the eastern part of Umeå, close to nature on the shores of Lake Nydala. Here, about 245 pupils play and learn in the school and 70 children in the preschool. The units have a natural and close collaboration between teachers, preschool teachers, recreational educators and childcare workers where learning for sustainable development is a central part of the teaching. Tomtebogård school is one of Umeå municipality's training schools, which means that during the academic year we receive student teachers on their practical training, VFU. Your work tasks In this position, you will work in the after-school program and in collaboration with other teaching groups and resource educators throughout the students' day. You will systematically plan, document, implement and follow up on the needs and progress of the students to ensure an activity that supports students' development and learning in accordance with the curriculum for the after-school program, where sustainability issues have a natural place. About you You are familiar with the school's governing documents, have the ability to vary teaching and activities according to pupils' needs. You are a confident adult and a good role model who has the ability to connect with students, see each individual and create a good learning environment. You motivate students by allowing them to participate and make their own suggestions. You have good cooperation skills with colleagues and external parties. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
