Västangårds skola is a school for grades F-9.
It is located in Umedalen in a natural area with beautiful houses right next to the famous sculpture park. It has around 450 pupils and some 50 ambitious teachers. The premises house Umedalen's library, which has been awarded the title "World-class library". The school works to ensure that pupils are given the conditions to develop the knowledge and skills required for further studies and to be able to face a complex world with hope and faith in the future. We are now looking for a teacher in after-school programs who wants to contribute to a meaningful and safe everyday life for our students!
Employment information
The employment is for a permanent position, full time, starting 2026-02-02 or by agreement.
Your work tasks
Your task as a teacher in after-school programs is to offer a meaningful leisure time where you start from the students' needs, interests and initiatives but also inspire new discoveries. Together with your colleagues, you offer pupils a variety of working methods, forms of expression and learning environments where care and learning are integrated. You collaborate with educators in the preschool class and in school to contribute to the achievement of pupils' goals. Contact and cooperation with guardians is an important part of the work.
About you
You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents, have the ability to vary teaching and activities based on students' needs. You are a confident adult and a good role model who has the ability to connect with students, see each individual and create a good learning environment. You motivate students by allowing them to participate and make their own suggestions. You have good cooperation skills with colleagues and external parties. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
Requirements
Qualified teacher in after-school care
Teacher's license/application for teacher's license
Experience of working in after-school programs
Valid extract from the criminal record
Good knowledge of Swedish language in speech and writing
