About the job
As one of two area managers, together with unit managers, team leaders, product managers and process managers, you lead just over 50 employees in an organization that is in the middle of a change journey.
You will have a strategic role. Your task is to stay one step ahead and be at the forefront of development in infrastructure and cybersecurity where you are responsible for organization and delivery. The tasks may vary over time, but may for example include:
Focus on direction, goals and delivery
Personnel and work environment responsibility for currently two unit managers and five employees within the cybersecurity team
Setting requirements for processes and working methods in your area
Leading or participating in various steering groups
Be a change leader and representative of the direction of the business
Replacing the Head of Operations in his/her absence
The transition that our municipality is facing involves a lot that is unexplored and needs to be questioned. In what we do, all the answers will not be available in advance, and a lot will be unclear. Therefore, you need to exercise confident leadership. You will manage heads of unit, team leaders and process managers, who in turn manage staff in areas with an ever-increasing pace of development. You are the one who looks at the big picture, creates strategies and creates good conditions for your leaders to succeed in their missions.
About you
We are looking for you with a higher post-secondary education, relevant to the field. Perhaps you have training/certification in infrastructure and security. It is good if you have experience of being a manager but it is not a requirement. The most important thing for us is that you have experience in leading people in rapid change and know the field of infrastructure and cybersecurity.
You need to create the conditions for the organization to deliver even if the answers are not given, the choices are not clear and the ways of working are not obvious. You challenge our habitual ways of thinking and working but are humble, responsive and also open to being challenged yourself. You establish clarity through communication, structures and follow-up.
We believe that you who apply for this position are brave and want to develop. Through respectful treatment, you create a good climate of cooperation and mutual trust. You have good communication skills and know both Swedish and English to a good level, both in speech and writing.
